Samsung Galaxy S III (T-Mobile)
After weeks of anticipation, the Samsung Galaxy S III is finally here. Running on Android 4.0, this 4G LTE device has a snappy dual-core processor and a solid 8-megapixel camera. As a flagship Samsung phone, it has delivered both on specs and performance, and is a top-rate Android device.

LG Optimus 4X HD (unlocked)
Our favorite LG phone yet, the Optimus 4X HD is powered by a quad-core processor and has NFC capabilities. Its HD LCD display is gorgeous, and the fact that it runs on Android 4.0 is an added bonus. Unfortunately, it may be too big for small hands and it's not available in the U.S. now.

Toshiba Excite 7.7 (16GB)
With its 7.7-inch screen, this Android 4.0 Toshiba Excite model sports an excellent AMOLED display (the only phone to have one in the Excite tablet line) and has a zippy quad-core CPU. However, be aware that its sticker price is steep and it has no HDMI support.

 What smartphone should I choose?
I need to upgrade from my Droid X to a new phone. I'm stuck with Verizon, since it's the only provider with service in my area. I'm looking at the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx or the Samsung Galaxy S III. I use my phone mostly for web browsing, Facebook, e-mail, etc. I've read reviews on both phones, but am having trouble deciding. Any suggestions?  Read full quote
