Apple TV gets 1080p upgrade As expected, a new Apple TV set-top box was announced at Apple's media event today. While the exterior hardware looks nearly identical to the old model's, several new features were announced, including a 1080p resolution and a new user interface. Other improvements include a new catalog of 1080p movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store with the option to redownload purchased movies through iCloud.
